Phoenix Labs is the ninth company in value terms (Ethical Market PMA). These last years, we have been ranked in the first position of new product launches.
Phoenix plant was built according to the GMP standards and has currently approval from the health authorities of Colombia (Invima) and Brazil (Anvisa) and is also ISO 9001: 2000 Compliant. Nevertheless, our factory does not have the FDA or EMEA approval yet. We are producing medicines for third laboratories such as Novartis, Merck, Janssen, Roche and Boehringer for the local and abroad markets. Our company also provides all the necessary documentation according to international standards for registration purposes.

Osmotica is part of our group and is a drug research development company, with more than 15 years of leader experience in the area of controlled release formulations.
We design technology systems that, on the basis of the osmotic principle, increase drug efficacy, reduce adverse side effects and simplify dosing.
This new development combines pharmacology and engineering, achieving greater safety and efficacy and allowing a variety of combinations, so that it is not simply a slow release system but one that allows a programmed and controlled release of pharmaceutical drugs. This system was patented by us in the USA, Europe, Argentina and some other countries in Latin America.

There are only two companies in the world that own the technology and the equipment to apply it with products in the market: Alza Corp, which is a member of the Johnson & Johnson group, and Osmótica Argentina. It is the only Osmotic Plant (controlled release system) in Latin America and our most request osmotic products at the present are Nifedipine, Oxibutinine and Venlafaxine. We also have exciting new products in our pipeline to be launched from 2010.
